Happy New Year! The Golden Gate Chapter of the CPCU Society would like to thank the following organizations for your generosity this past holiday season in supporting our Charity Campaign in support of Lilliput Children's Services: Alliant Insurance Services, Milliman, Travelers, InterWest Insurance, Allianz, GenRe, Lockton, Hays Companies and Marsh. And special thanks to chapter member Tyler VanSpanje for coordinating the drive!
Thanks to your hard work and support, we were able to collect nearly 10 overstuffed Santa Bags with over 150 gift items for tweens and teens, as well as $600 in gift cards and cash. Lilliput was extremely grateful for the gifts which filled their special foster children Toys Stores. They had the following to say:
"From all of us at Lilliput Families, we thank you and everyone from the CPCU Society Golden Gate Chapter so much for the generosity of giving us so many big red bags filled with toys for our Toy Shops! We especially appreciate the fact that you remembered our tweens and teens, with multiple gift cards, purses, clothing with the Warriors logo, make-up bags, basketballs and more.
When our families come to the Toy Shop, they bring a list of items that their kinship, adopted and/or foster children would like to have for Christmas. Our volunteers help them shop and wrap the presents for them while they enjoy holiday music and yummy treats. This is one of the ways that we as a community can thank these parents for bringing a child from foster care into their home and giving them the love and stability that every child deserves. Quite often, this is the very first ‘Happy’ holiday that these children have ever had, and this is only possible because of generous donors such as you.
Thank you again for giving your time, energy and enthusiasm and channeling all of that into such a meaningful way. All of us at Lilliput are so appreciative and wish you and your family the very happiest of holidays!"
We thank you again for making this campaign such a great success and look forward to your support in 2017!
