Commercial Lines Senior Account Manager

We are seeking a qualified Commercial Lines Senior Account Manager for our San Mateo Office or San Jose Office.

The Sr. Account Manager will be responsible for day to day servicing of accounts and marketing of renewals.  The Senior Account Manager will be the primary organizer of all commercial insurance coverage placements for the customer and after sale policy administration.  The Senior Account Manager should be able to work independently and resolve customer issues with minimal assistance from the producer.

The successful candidate will hold a valid California Fire & Casualty License, and possess these essential qualifications:


  • Minimum of 10 years recent experience in the property & casualty department of a brokerage firm

  • Good understanding of all Commercial Lines coverage’s and related laws, codes, regulations; all aspects of marketing process; commercial insurance rating, insurance terminology and concepts; insurance company operations and their relations to the sales/marketing process as well as policy structure and content.

  • Outstanding communication, written and verbal skills, and good attitude

  • Ability to work well in a team environment

  • Ability to work in complex, demanding sales and service oriented environment.

  • Knowledge of and high proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills in managing emails, TAM and shared-drive files

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

  • Work accuracy

  • A commitment to total client satisfaction

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on business or insurance preferred
