Chapter President

Glenn Leung



Glenn Leung is currently Assistant Vice President of the Surplus Line Association of
California. The SLA serves as the statutory surplus line advisory organization to the
California Department of Insurance. Glenn leads a team that focuses on financial analysis of
nonadmitted insurers on the California List of Approve Surplus Line Insurers. He
received his bachelor’s degree in Economics & American Studies from the University of
California, Santa Cruz and then went on to gain his AIAF and ASLI designations. In his free time Glenn
enjoys making ice cream, camping, and volunteering.

Michael Rodgers


Michael Rodgers is Marsh’s West Zone Multinational Client Service (MCS) Leader and Senior Vice President.  He manages a group of Multinational Advisors to deliver global risk advice and insurance program implementation for Marsh's clients. This includes helping clients navigate regulatory and tax issues and aligning those requirements with global insurance programs.  Michael continues to manage a number of global account relationships to set annual strategic objectives to further enhance and improve service delivery and program structure.  He holds his MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business and his BA in Government from Lehigh University.


Dee Pearson



Dee Pearson has been working with individual development and group training, executive and personal coaching, change management, and organizational effectiveness in a variety of roles, particularly in the insurance industry, for over 25 years.  She has held leadership positions in corporate and nonprofit arenas and has consulted with over 20 organizations, trained over 1,000 people, and coached and counseled several hundred individuals.  Dee is known for her intuitive and perceptive style and has been sought after as an expert facilitator and skilled personal coach

Akemi Lee


Akemi Lee is currently an Account Administrator at North Star Insurance Services working primarily in Ocean Marine. Akemi joined the insurance industry in 2008 after completing her MBA at Keller Graduate School of Management. She has worked on both the brokerage and carrier side with underwriting experience in Inland Marine and Ocean Marine. She continued her insurance education with ARM and AMIM designations and completed her CPCU designation in 2016. Akemi is a native San Franciscan, long distance runner, and chaser of a 4 year old.


Mohammed Khalid



Mohammed Khalid is currently a Senior Underwriter with Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty.  Mohammed joined the insurance industry in 2010 and has experience underwriting most casualty lines including environmental liability.  He was previously with AIG and also worked for a Lloyds of London reinsurance broker in Pakistan.  Mohammed completed his MBA in Finance at Cal State Fullerton in 2014 and also holds an ARM designation. This is Mohammed's second year serving on the board.

Anne Gritzer

Esq. & CPCU

Anne Gritzer’s practice at Walsworth WFBM, LLP includes general liability defense, as well as toxic tort/environmental litigation with an emphasis on asbestos.  She has successfully defended public entities, premises owners, equipment manufacturers, and contractors, resolving many cases through dispositive motions, mediation and settlement conferences. Prior to her experience as a lawyer, Anne was an insurance broker with a large national insurance brokerage where she negotiated 3rd liability coverage and excess layers for a multi-national petrochemical corporation, multi-state financial institutions & local municipalities.


Blake Merlo



Blake Merlo is our Membership Officer and is currently an Assistant Vice President at Lockton Insurance Brokers.  With over 8 years of experience in commercial account management, he specializes in large, multinational technology and life science accounts. Blake holds his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management & Finance from Menlo College and also has his ARM and AINS designations

Tunde Oluyitan


Tunde Oluyitan is a Sales and Client Services Manager for Amica Mutual Insurance Company’s Northern California Regional office located in Petaluma, CA. He embarked on his insurance career in 2009 as an Account Manager and since then has held a wide range of leadership positions within Amica. Tunde’s roles have given him the opportunity to work various insurance markets which include New York, New Jersey, Nevada, Texas, and California. In his free time Tunde loves outdoor activities and exploring the world through travel. He earned his CPCU designation in 2016 and received his bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Berea College.

Michael Huggins

Michael Huggins is currently an Insurance Coverage and Regulation attorney at Troutman Sanders.  Michael litigates and advises insurers on complex coverage matters under commercial lines of insurance, and he assists with regulatory and transactional insurance matters, such as with licensing and product development.  Before entering private practice, Michael served as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of California.  Michael completed his J.D. at Fordham University School of Law and is actively pursuing his CPCU designation.  Michael also holds a Resident Personal Lines Broker-Agent license in California


Dennis Mulqueeney


Dennis Mulqueeney is a Senior Vice President with Alliant Insurance Services, where he has worked for the past 18 years.  He is an all lines commercial insurance broker specializing in Public Entity and Commercial Real Estate accounts, focusing on complex placements and transactions.

Joseph Ferrone


Joe Ferrone is a Sr. Underwriter with Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty and served as the Director of Membership for the chapter in 2015 and the President Elect in 2016 and President in 2017.   Joe is an Air Force veteran, a committed kite surfer, plays trumpet in a band and even spent a few months working on a cruise ship. Joe started his insurance career at Liberty Mutual in 2010.  He received the CPCU designation in 2012 and received his degree in Music from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
