Joe Ferrone is a Sr. Underwriter with Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty and served as the Director of Membership for the chapter in 2015 and the President Elect in 2016. Joe is an Air Force veteran, a committed kite surfer, plays trumpet in a band and even spent a few months working on a cruise ship. Joe started his insurance career at Liberty Mutual in 2010. He received the CPCU designation in 2012 and received his degree in Music from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Carol (Willams) Lundqvist, is our Vice President and is currently Senior Underwriter at Liberty Mutual Insurance in the National Accounts Casualty group. She began her career in Boston with Liberty in 2011, after various internships with the company while completing her Finance and Management Bachelor’s Degree at University of NH. She moved from Boston to San Francisco in 2013 but will never give up her loyalty for Boston sports teams. Carol is a new designee and completed her CPCU in 2016!
Katie Pickard is currently a Risk Consultant with Alliant Insurance Services in San Francisco and specializes in risk consulting to public education systems. Her background also includes risk management in staffing, technology, manufacturing and the managed health care sectors. A lifelong learner, she received her BA and MBA from Washington State University. She is a strong advocate for the CPCU curriculum and is serving her second year on the chapter board.

Mohammed Khalid is currently a Senior Underwriter with Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty. Mohammed joined the insurance industry in 2010 and has experience underwriting most casualty lines including environmental liability. He was previously with AIG and also worked for a Lloyds of London reinsurance broker in Pakistan. Mohammed completed his MBA in Finance at Cal State Fullerton in 2014 and also holds an ARM designation.

Blake Merlo is currently an Account Executive at Wells Fargo Insurance Services in the Global Risk Management Practice where he has worked for the past 8 years. He specializes in large, multinational technology and life science accounts. Blake holds his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management & Finance from Menlo College and ARM and AINS designations.

Michael Rodgers is Marsh’s West Zone Multinational Client Service (MCS) Leader and Senior Vice President. He manages a group of Multinational Advisors to deliver global risk advice and insurance program implementation for Marsh's clients. This includes helping clients navigate regulatory and tax issues and aligning those requirements with global insurance programs. Michael continues to manage a number of global account relationships to set annual strategic objectives to further enhance and improve service delivery and program structure. He holds his MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business and his BA in Government from Lehigh University.

Anne Gritzer’s practice at Walsworth WFBM, LLP includes general liability defense, as well as toxic tort/environmental litigation with an emphasis on asbestos. She has successfully defended public entities, premises owners, equipment manufacturers, and contractors, resolving many cases through dispositive motions, mediation and settlement conferences. Prior to her experience as a lawyer, Anne was an insurance broker with a large national insurance brokerage where she negotiated 3rd liability coverage and excess layers for a multi-national petrochemical corporation, multi-state financial institutions & local municipalities.
Dennis Mulqueeney is a Senior Vice President with Alliant Insurance Services, where he has worked for the past 18 years. He is an all lines commercial insurance broker specializing in Public Entity and Commercial Real Estate accounts, focusing on complex placements and transactions.

Brian Gerritsen, Managing Director - Excess Casualty at Travelers served as Chapter president in 2015 and 2016. Brian started his career at Continental Insurance as a commercial underwriter before taking a decade long detour working as an executive chef. He spent 10 years in various leadership roles within the Industry Practices and Product Management divisions at Fireman's Fund/Allianz before joining Travelers in mid-2015. He began his CPCU studies in 1992 and proudly finished in 2008!
